How we compiled this comparison
- We used only the fees each institute published on its own website, as seen on 13 October 2026. Each row names its source and date.
- Figures marked “~” are approximate as published. Prices change; check the institute's current fee before deciding.
- Some institutes publish no fee at all on their pages (for example, the MAAC fee page we reviewed listed no amounts), so they are not in the tables.
- Fee pages go out of date. An older fee page from one institute (last updated April 2025) listed ~₹2.40–2.45 lakh for a 24-month Unreal Engine programme, while its July 2026 page lists ₹2,66,444 for ~26 months.
- “Average per month” is the total fee divided by the programme's months. It is a rough way to compare programmes of different lengths, not an official figure.

Published fees in 2026 range from about ₹20,500 for a one-month single-software course to ₹6.3 lakh for a private-university degree. Professional career programmes of 1–3 years typically cost ₹1.2–3.5 lakh. At Reliance Animation Academy Ultadanga, fees run from ₹42,000 to ₹4,99,000 including GST.
Which is cheaper in Kolkata: a diploma or a degree?
